Matt Dubon: Operations Manager – Trophy Lakes, Charleston South Carolina

As a Cablebahn owner for the past 3 months, I have nothing but praise for it’s performance and reliability, day in and day out.

We currently operate 2 CableBahn systems, one stretched to 400 ft. and the other stretched to 600 ft. We’ll soon be purchasing another to be stretched to 800 ft.

Our cables operate roughly 35 hours per week each (during the winter months Oct. – Dec.).
Our average electric bill for the cables is roughly $50 per month for 2 cables operating roughly 280 hrs. per month.

Everyday we simply walk outside, switch on the power and ride to our heart’s content. The hand-held operator’s controller is basic enough for anyone to operate, containing only the necessities, forward, reverse, auto and a dial throttle. Even programming and trouble shooting is done on the control box which can be mounted to the tower. No laptops or special software downloads, just a simple key pad with digital display attached to the unit.

As far as maintenance goes, over the past 3 months, our systems have been subjected to running about 35 per week, sun, heavy rain, strong winds, and a salty atmosphere due to the fact that we operate 1 mile inland from the Atlantic Ocean, we’ve experienced no problems with either system.

The choice to go with CableBahn over some of their competitors was simple after seeing both in action and after speaking with riders of various skill levels who’ve ridden other systems as well as the new CableBahn system.

Nobody else can span the distances the CableBahn is capable of, at least not safely, and no other system can withstand the tension that intermediate to advanced level riders desire. They’re tight enough for massive aerial maneuvers as well as offering minimal catenary or recoil, swing and bounce when a rider pulls against it, which is experienced on a looser cable, which can drastically affect the rider.

After using these systems for now over 3 months, I would gladly recommend them to anyone, whether for personal or business use, put simply: just work, everyday.
