General Questions
What is the price of a CableBahn linear cable system?
The CableBahn linear cable system starts at $45,000.00 USD plus any applicable taxes. This price includes installation within the continental USA, complete system operation and maintenance training, and a phase converter to allow CableBahn to operate on household 2 Phase 220v power. Shipping is not included with the price of the system. For installations and training outside of the continental United States, additional payment may be required.
Does CableBahn offer a warranty?
The CableBahn linear cable system includes a one year warranty that covers the replacement or repair of any defective system components. Labor of a CableBahn certified technician is not included within this warranty, if required.
What power options does CableBahn offer?
The CableBahn drive system requires the electricity to be 220v – 3 Phase – 35 amps. However, since 3 Phase is often not available on site, CableBahn comes standard with a phase converter that allows CableBahn to operate from household 2 Phase 220v power.
Option One: 2 Phase 220v with Phase Converter (included)
Option Two: 3 Phase 220v without Phase Converter (subtract $1,000)
What is the ideal length of the cable system between towers?
CableBahn recommends an ideal cable length of around 650 feet tower to tower. This length offers the best length to cable tension ratio, making it ideal for both air tricks and riding kickers, rails, or other sliders.
Does CableBahn offer a wakeboard rental start up package?
Yes, CableBahn has partnered with 4wake.com to offer a complete wakeboard, waterski, life jacket, and helmet rental start up package. This package is offered as an additional option for purchase when ordering the CableBahn system.
CableBahn OS and Cable Control
What is CableBahn OS?
CableBahn OS refers to the advanced operation software developed exclusively for CableBahn right here in the United States. The CableBahn control system and operation software utilizes all United States components, meaning that replacement computer parts and components are readily available in case of failure.
What Makes CableBahn OS so special?
We put a lot of time and devotion into the development of the CableBahn OS and brought some of the most experience cable operators in the United States on board to develop the most functional and easy to use operation software possible.
The result?
CableBahn OS is on the forefront of operation control technology and vastly superior to any other two tower cable operation system on the market.
Is a laptop computer needed to adjust cable turn points or other system settings?
No, CableBahn OS features an easy to use digital operation display. This enables the cable operator to easily set or adjust cable turn-around points, max operation speed, or change other critical settings without connecting a computer. This gives the cable operator absolute control and the ability to quickly adjust turn-around points for unique sliders such as quarter pipes, banked wall rides, or c-rails.
Is the CableBahn system difficult to operate?
No, CableBahn is very easy to operate. Simplicity was paramount in designing this user-friendly controller that is both functional and easy to use. The controller fits comfortably in one hand, allowing the operator to control common cable functions with a single finger. As an added convenience, the handheld controller utilizes two notification LED’s that illuminate as the rider approaches each turn point.
Does CableBahn OS feature an automatic mode?
Yes, CableBahn features an advanced fully automatic mode with on the fly capability, allowing the cable operator to engage or disengage automatic mode at any time. Once in automatic mode, the cable will continually decelerate and accelerate automatically at each turn point until the operator stops the cable.
If the rider falls, the operator can stop the cable, use the forward and backward controls to return the rope to the rider, use the speed dial to pull the rider back up, and continue operating in automatic mode.
Speed is also completely adjustable in automatic mode. Based on the set ride speed, CableBahn OS automatically adjusts the acceleration and deceleration at each turn point, allowing even the most inexperienced riders to navigate each turn with ease.
How is speed controlled or adjusted on the CableBahn system?
Precise speed control is a cinch with CableBahn’s oversized speed control dial and digital operation display that allows the operator to set the maximum ride speed.
Does CableBahn offer a wireless controller?
No, CableBahn does not offer a wireless controller at this point in time. However, we are working on developing a rechargeable wireless controller, which will be available for upgrade sometime in the near future.
CableBahn Setup
What site preparation is required to be completed before the installation date?
- Electricity must be installed and ready to use at the site according to our specifications.
- The cement footings for the tower feet must be poured and set.
- The cement pads for each anchor must be poured and set with rebar anchor points properly installed.
- Please note: If any of these items are incomplete when a CableBahn technician arrives to begin installation, the installation process will be delayed and additional fees may be encountered.
What equipment is required on site during the installation process?
A skid steer, rough terrain forklift, or front loading tractor is extremely helpful during the installation of the CableBahn system. Additionally, a boat with at least a 25hp motor is required to pull the running cable across the lake. All other tools required for installation are brought by a CableBahn installation technician.
CableBahn Maintenance
What maintenance is required on the CableBahn system?
CableBahn was designed to be reliable and extremely easy to maintain. However, the CableBahn system still requires daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance procedures to ensure years of trouble free operation. These procedures are extensively outlined in the CableBahn operation manual. In addition, a CableBahn installation technician will provide detailed educational training on the required maintenance tasks during the initial set-up and installation of the CableBahn system.
